Who We Are
The Swier family is Chris, Kate, Allma and Ila. We have a small family farm in MecostaCounty. This is our 9th season growing produce and our 7th Veggie CSA. In 2012 we will maintain the highest of quality and variety. We offer separate vegetable, honey, pork, and mushroom shares. This brochure is for vegetables alone, please contact us if interested in other foods.
Community Supported Agriculture
CSA brings community members, farmers, food and land together. CSA is a concept and a practice, requiring relationships of mutual trust, understanding and flexibility. CSA members support the farmers to tend the Earth responsibly and appropriately. As a CSA member you will buy a share of our harvest in anticipation of the upcoming growing season.
Locally Grown, Your Veggie CSA!
For 18 weeks, June through September, you receive a 4-20 pound assortment of fresh vegetables and limited flowers. This is approximately 1-3 grocery bags worth. The quantity and variety will vary seasonally. We deliver your produce to central drop-off locations, or you can pick up at the farm. We farm organically, though we are not certified. All the food, flowers and meat are grown by us on our farm.
